Security
The card is identifiable (although the cardholder's name is not imprinted on it). The card is imbedded with a safety Chip with EMV technology that protects it from forgery and fraud in case of theft or loss. It is possible to block the card and keep the money loaded in it. In this way, the money in the card is safe, so you can have peace of mind when traveling abroad.
Smartcard is not connected to your bank account, so that in case of loss or theft, your bank account is not at risk.
You can order securely by telephone or on the Internet, since it is impossible to take out from the card more than the amount loaded in it at any given time. The card is insured according to debit card law since 1986 including the issuer responsibility in the subject matter abuse, theft/loss.
If your children are traveling abroad (summer camp, a trip to Poland, etc.), and you don't want them walking around carrying cash, give them a "smartcard" and prevent unnecessary risk to them, while the money is kept safe – in case of loss or theft the card can be blocked.

Smartcard issued by Israel Postal Bank is imbedded with a safety chip
The safety chip makes it harder to forge the card. While using the card, in locations to (mainly in Europe and some of South America) the customer must type in the pin code. Typing the pin code, similar to cash withdraw insures that it is the card holder using the card. Generally card forgers do not hold the pin code and so will not be able to use the card after stilling its details. It is impossible to forge the chip so even if you were photographed typing the pin code it wont be possible to use the card in locations or ATMs without the chip. Using a chip imbedded card is becoming more common, due to its safety so more and more locations and ATMs are available only for chip imbedded cards.
The card holds two currencies euro & GBP
Wherever you are in the world, your Smartcard always knows which Currency to use. When your purchase is in Euro the card will use the Euro "Purse" and when the purchase is in GBP the card will use the GBP "purse" as long as the balance is sufficient in the relevant currency. If the local currency isn't one of the Currencies on the Card or if you don't have enough of the local Currency on your Card, then your Card will hunt through the other Currencies on your Card, in Euros then Pounds Sterling order, to see if they can cover the bill in another Currency. Please bear in mind that you will be charged a foreign exchange fee, should this occur.
