Subscribers service in Israel and overseas – general |
The Philatelic Service issues stamps around five times a year. Several new stamps appear with each issue. Before each issue the Philatelic Service informs its subscribers of the expected issue with a circular listing the details of the stamps to be issued, their face value, photos of the new stamps, and details of other philatelic items to be issued. The circular is attached to a payment order that can be paid at the Postal Bank or via a direct debit. Subscribers paying by direct debit receive the payment order for notification purposes only; their account is debited on the 4th of the month after the issue. After receipt of payment from the subscriber, the philatelic items are sent via registered post. Subscribers paying by direct debit receive priority. |
The stamps themselves are accompanied by a leaflet with information about the stamp and the background to the issue, details appearing on the stamp, a picture of the seal and often a biography of the stamp designer. |
