The Israel Philatelic Federation consists of some 30 clubs of stamp collectors and a number of youth groups which meet on a regular basis. Several national associations specializing in specific philatelic branches and members of the Federation.
National Associations included in the Federation
- The Society of Postal History of Eretz-Israel which publishes an English language periodical including new discoveries of interesting items.
- The Thematic Association of Israel which publishes a Hebrew bi-monthly journal and conducts auctions amongst its members
- The Judaica Association which publishes an information leaflet for times a year.
- Rotary Stamp Club
- The Israel Stamp Dealers Association
Youth Groups
Youth Group meetings are held within the framework of schools and community centers. The children play games based on stamps, using the Israel Philatelic Service workbooks and videos on philately to learn through stamps and develop a love of philately as a hobby.
Activities of the Stamp Collectors' Clubs
Exchanging Philatelic material.
Lectures by experienced collectors.
Displays of members' collections.
Sharing knowledge and experience.
Membership of the Associations of the Israel Philatelic Federation - Entitlements
All members of the constituent bodies are entitled to:
Free subscription to the "Shovel" ("Tab"), the only philatelic magazine in Israel, which is publish 6 times a year.
Participation as an exhibitor in exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
Use of the Federation's library in Tel Aviv. Books, stamp periodicals and catalogues may be borrowed by personal application or by post.
Participation in various special events such as: Philately Day Congress, Youth Day, Israel Stamp Week.
