Ramat Hanadiv Gardens and Nature Park – 70 Years Visitors who come to Ramat Hanadiv, located between Binyamina and Zikhron Ya’akov, experience the charm of the wild Nature Park and the beauty of the meticulously kept Memorial Gardens. The gardens and surrounding park opened to the public on April 6, 1954 with a formal burial ceremony for Baron Edmond de Rothschild and his wife, who died 20 years earlier in France. Over the years, Ramat Hanadiv has become one of Israel’s most popular tourist sites, a place for humans to encounter nature that works to instill the principles of sustainability among the public and the local community. The Baron’s legacy is an integral part of the daily activity, committed to the environment through research, education and innovation while greatly appreciating the past and also looking forward to the future. Baron Edmond de Rothschild – the Known Benefactor (the past and vision stamp) The story of Ramat Hanadiv began with Baron de Rothschild, a visionary and man of action, who significantly influenced the early modern Jewish settlement in Eretz Israel and shaped its future, driven by his values and great passion. Forty-four towns were established and the Baron and his successors supported many more. Ramat Hanadiv, where he is buried, is a living memorial to the Baron’s extraordinary achievements and vision.
