How to order the service
Make sure you have the relevant documents (identity card, attachment, passport and so forth) with you and go to one of the 55 post office branches that offer the service. Go to one of the posts, choose the appropriate form for the desired service and read the instructions on the form. Fill out the form according to the instructions and attach the required documents. Take one of the special envelopes for this service, which you will find at the post. Put in the form and the documents and seal the envelope. Place the envelope only in the service box at the post. And do not, under any circumstances, place it in a mailbox or in any other box!)
How are the services provided?
The above service envelopes will be sent by the Postal Authority to the appropriate office of the Population Administration at the Ministry of the Interior, where the envelopes will be opened and the desired services provided.
The result of the services (certificates, documents and so forth) will be sent to those requesting the services within seven to ten days of business.
Will these services be provided hereafter throughout Israel?
These are just experimental services and are currently being offered for a few months only, on a trial basis, at 55 post office branches.
If the experiment proves successful, the Ministry of the Interior and the Postal Authority will consider expanding it and instituting it on a regular basis. The Ministry of the Interior continues to provide the services in the normal format at its offices.
